Climate Solutions for a Hot Planet
Jason Gray is Chief of the Climate Change Program Evaluation Branch, which oversees and implements the Cap-and-Trade Program at the California Air Resources Board (CARB). He previously served as manager of the Market Monitoring Section of the Cap-and-Trade Program and as a staff attorney with CARB. Jason also represents the Board in the Governors’ Climate and Forests Task Force, an innovative partnership of 38 states and provinces from 10 countries working to protect tropical forests, reduce emissions from deforestation, and promote realistic pathways to low emissions rural development. Previously, Jason worked on environmental education, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development projects with the U.S. Peace Corps and WWF in the Central African country of Gabon. These experiences are recounted in the book Glimpses through the Forest: Memories of Gabon. Jason received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and French from Gonzaga University, and a J.D. and Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Lewis & Clark Law School.
